All shelters are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Some shelters are available to reserve for a small non-refundable fee.

Beech Shelter with 10 picnic tables.

Located near the Left Hand Trailhead that is managed by the City of Boulder.

Reservation Requirements

  • Payment must be completed at time of reservation using a credit card or e-check.
  • Must be able to agree and sign the Shelter Reservation Agreement (agreement will be sent after reservation has been processed).
  • Must agree to follow the all regulations.
  • Shelters provide rustic accommodations and may not be suitable for weddings or other types of events.
  • Glass bottles/containers, amplified sound, and additional structures are prohibited.
  • Please email possignup@bouldercounty.gov before making your reservation to determine if additional items you were considering bringing to your event are permissible.
  • Refunds will not be given. If a reservation is canceled more than thirty (30) days in advance of the event date, the fee may be credited to an alternative date within the same calendar year.

Grills

  • BBQ grills are only available at the Fairgrounds and are prohibited during Red Flag Warnings and fire bans. Please check fire restrictions before using.
  • Portable gas grills may be used unless prohibited by fire restrictions.
