Kinship Support Services

You may be a grandparent, aunt, uncle, older sibling, or a relative raising a child. If so, you can get help from Kinship Services.

It does not matter how much money you make. It does not matter how old you are or your immigration status. It does not matter if you are involved with child welfare. We are here to help.

Family Support

• We help you make a plan for today and the future.
• We can help fill out papers and forms.
• We connect you with other families who are also raising a relative’s child.
• We support you as you adjust to caring for a grandchild, niece, nephew, or other relative.

Referrals

We can connect you with resources like:

• Money help
• Counseling and mental health care
• Housing help
• Support for older adults
• Special education help
• Health, dental, and vision care
• Fun things for kids to do
• Help with food (SNAP), Medicaid, and Child Only TANF
• Other local programs

Kinship Discussion Groups

These groups give families a chance to meet and learn from one another.

• Groups meet each month in Longmont and Louisville.
• We give free childcare and snacks.
