Boulder County Ballot Measures

2026 Boulder County Ballot Measure Considerations

The Boulder County Commissioners will consider potential ballot measures for the November election in July and August. There is currently ONE ballot measure being considered by the Boulder County Commissioners. A public hearing is scheduled for Thursday, July 23:

  • What: Public hearing to consider the adoption of Resolution-26-xx (Number to be Determined), A resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of Boulder County referring to the registered electors of the county at the November 3, 2026 general election a ballot issue to increase county property taxes by 2.579 mills to address the shortage and high cost of child care and preschool for Boulder County families with young children by lowering the cost of care, increasing the wages of child care and preschool teachers and staff, and expanding capacity to serve more children and reduce waitlists; approving the ballot title therefor; and providing for a voter-approved revenue change.
