Become a Cultural History Volunteer with Boulder County Parks & Open Space

Bring Boulder County's history to life.

Boulder County, Colo. - Boulder County Parks & Open Space is now accepting applications for volunteers to work at the Altona Schoolhouse, Nederland Mining Museum and James F. Bailey Assay Office Museum.

Altona Schoolhouse: Volunteers inspire curiosity by leading fun and educational programs for schools and the public at the Altona Schoolhouse at Heil Valley Ranch. Application deadline is Monday, Feb. 26. Training takes place in late March or early April, depending upon number of applicants.

Nederland Mining Museum and Assay Office Museum: Volunteers inspire a passion for Boulder County’s mining history by sharing the area’s history with visitors from around the world. You may apply to volunteer at either, or both locations. Application deadline is Thursday, March 28. Training will take place Sunday, April 28.
