Time Commitment & Minimum Age:	Minimum commitment of three field trip programs or open houses per year. Volunteers must be at least 14.
Location:	The Altona School at Heil Valley Ranch, near Boulder.
Program Summary:	Volunteers will lead fun and educational programs at the recently restored Altona Schoolhouse at Heil Valley Ranch. Volunteers will: Present one room school field trips for pre-requested group visits. Teachers will choose from a pioneer school experience or a World War II school experience. Present artifact trunks for pre-requested group visits. Research, develop, and present future field trip or public program activities. Research and lead period-appropriate crafts, games, and possibly songs.
Qualifications and Requirements:	Must be at least 14 years old (volunteers under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult parent/guardian during training and volunteer shifts). Passionate about local history. Comfortable speaking to a wide range of ages and audiences. Must have personal transportation. Must attend a new volunteer training session. Pass criminal background check.
Training Dates and Information:	A one-day training is required. Date is to be determined.
