Winter Issue of Images Magazine

The winter issue of Images magazine is now available. Articles include Fire Regimes of Life Zones, Conservation Awards, Tucker Cabin Restoration, A Show Below the Snow: The Subnivium, Who Lives Out There in the Snow, and See You in the Spring – Overwintering Insects.

East Boulder Creek Site Management Plan

Parks & Open Space is preparing a management plan for the East Boulder Creek Site and are seeking public comments. Public input will help shape the future of the site and the priorities for conservation and community access.

Calendars Now on Sale

The 2023 Parks & Open Space calendars are now on sale. The calendar features beautiful photos highlighting some of Boulder County’s most significant natural and historical areas. Cost is $2 each plus shipping.

Grants Available for Research

Parks & Open Space awards small grants for research and biological inventories on open space lands. Grants are awarded up to $10,000. The deadline for proposals is is Monday, Jan. 9, 2023.

Elk Management at Ron Stewart Preserve

Ron Stewart Preserve at Rabbit Mountain will be closed Monday through Wednesday from Sept. 19 through Jan. 25 (except for certain holidays) for elk management through limited hunting. The park will be open Thursday through Sunday, or earlier in the week if hunting activities end early or are not scheduled.
