Board of County Commissioners
The Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) consists of three individuals elected to serve four-year terms as leaders of the Boulder County government. All three commissioners are elected at-large by the voters of Boulder County and represent the county as a whole.

Public Meetings
County Commissioners’ public hearings and meetings are offered in a hybrid format where attendees can join virtually through Zoom or in-person in the Commissioners’ Hearing Room, Downtown Boulder County Courthouse, 3rd Floor, 1325 Pearl Street, Boulder.
To sign up for in-person public comment, please use the link in the advance agenda for each respective hearing. There will also be a kiosk located in the lobby of the 3rd Floor to sign up for in-person public comment. For questions regarding in-person meetings call 303-441-3500.

Community-Based Event Funding
The Boulder County Commissioners provide quarterly funding to support nonprofit and community-based organizations hosting free, public-facing cultural events, celebrations, or educational workshops within Boulder County. Funded events must promote diversity or inclusion, positively impact the community, and demonstrate how racial equity is incorporated. Requests may not exceed 25% of the event’s total budget, and applications must be submitted at least 30 days prior to the event to provide for review and communication between Boulder County and the applicant. Funding recipients are required to coordinate with Boulder County, including using an approved Boulder County logo in event marketing and welcoming county staff to host an outreach booth or table (if applicable to the event).
Application Cycle
Funding requests are accepted on a quarterly basis. Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis within each quarter, subject to available funds. Maximum amount of funding per event is $3,750.
On the funding application, You will be asked to provide:
- A brief description of the event and how the funds will be used, including when and where the event is taking place.
- Amount of funding requested (maximum of $3,750 per program/event)
- How is the event related to racial equity?
- How will this work help promote diversity and inclusion in Boulder County?
- Is this a cultural event, celebration, or workshop?
- Is this event free to attend, open to the public, and located within Boulder County?
- Is the applicant/event organizer operating as a 501(c)3 or a not-for-profit community-based organization?
- What is the proposed total budget for the event?

- District 1 includes Boulder, Jamestown, Ward and Nederland, with a total population of 112,863
- District 2 includes Longmont and Lyons, with a population of 108, 067
- District 3 includes Erie, Louisville, Lafayette and Superior, with a population of 110,190
- Boulder County’s total population is 331,120
