DC-14-0001: Amendments to define retail and medical marijuana as a combined use and amendments to related terms and provisions

Boulder County Community Planning & Permitting Department services are available virtually 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and 10 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Tuesday. The office is open to walk-in customers (no appointment necessary) Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9 a.m.–2 p.m. On Tuesdays the department is open by appointment only from 12:30–4:30 p.m.

DC-14-0001: Amendments to define retail and medical marijuana as a combined use and amendments to related terms and provisions

The Board of County Commissioners authorized DC-14-0001 on March 18, 2014, for Boulder County Land Use Code text amendments to Article 4-512 and Article 4-516 to define retail and medical marijuana as a combined use and update terms related to marijuana businesses. Amendments also include proposed provisions for medical marijuana caregiver activities, home occupation, and marijuana grown for personal use regulations.

Public Hearing on proposed Boulder County Land Use Code Text Amendments to Article 4-512.I of the Boulder County Land Use Code to amend the current definition of Medical Marijuana Center to Marijuana Establishment which includes both retail and medical marijuana. Additional amendments include changes to marijuana terms, home occupation provisions, and marijuana grown for personal use.

BOCC Action: The Board of County Commissioners voted (3-0) to adopt DC-14-0001 on August 12, 2014.
