DC-12-0005: Amendments to Floodplain Overlay District regulations

The Boulder County Community Planning & Permitting office at 2045 13th St., Boulder will be closed on Friday, October 11 and Monday, October 14 for both in-person and virtual services. The offices will return to normal office hours on Tuesday, October 15. Regular hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Appointments are available on Tuesday but are not required. Schedule an appointment.

DC-12-0005: Amendments to Floodplain Overlay District regulations

Background

DC-12-0005: Land Use Code text amendments to Article 4-400 (“Floodplain Overlay District”) and Article 18 (“Definitions”) of the Boulder County Land Use Code. The proposed changes clarified the County’s regulation of the Floodplain Overlay District and brought these regulations into consistency with regulatory agencies including the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the National Flood Insurance Program, and the Colorado Water Conservation Board.

The Board reviewed Docket DC-12-0005: Proposed Land Use Code text amendments to Article 4-400 (“Floodplain Overlay District”) and Article 18 (“Definitions”) of the Boulder County Land Use Code on November 12, 2012. The docket was presented by Justin Gindlesperger with the Boulder County Transportation Department.
