DC-12-0002: Amendments to Article 4-802

Background

Boulder County proposed text amendments to Land Use Code Article 4-802 (“Applicability and Scope of the Site Plan Review Process”) of the Boulder County Land Use Code. Following the Fourmile Fire, staff identified a potential for the loss of numerous residential bridges and stream crossings due to a flood event. The proposed amendment will create an expedited process for replacement bridges that are damaged due to a flood event. Replacement bridges, damaged in a flood event, must meet all other requirements of the Boulder County Land Use Code and the Storm Drainage Criteria Manual.

Please note, the proposed amendments to Article 4-400 (“Floodplain Overlay District”), Article 18-161 (“Floodway”), Article 18-178A (“Market Value”) and Article 18-206 (“Substantial Improvement”) are no longer included as part of Docket DC-12-0002. Those amendments will be reviewed under a separate docket number at a future date.
