Annual Crafts and Trades of Olden Days – Sunday, Sept. 15
Sunday, Sept. 15, at the Agricultural Heritage Center
Boulder County, Colo. - Boulder County Parks & Open Space will host the annual Crafts and Trades of Olden Days on Sunday, Sept. 15, at the Agricultural Heritage Center.
Visitors can enjoy the rural surroundings and views of the mountains while learning about old-fashioned jobs and the traditional arts and crafts that went into making what was needed for life down on the farm.
Games and demonstrations will be available, including blacksmithing, candle-dipping, and working with a drop spindle. Other activities include soap making, smoking meats, and cider making. Several “make and take” activities are offered as well.
During the event, visitors can explore the Agricultural Heritage Center and get a glimpse into the history of agriculture in this area.
No pets are allowed on the farm.
