Last Chance to Join a Boulder County Advisory Board or Commission in 2023!

Boulder County, Colo. - Applications remain open until midnight on Sunday for positions on 16 of Boulder County's advisory boards and commissions.

If you have an interest or expertise in any of the following areas, we encourage you to check out these Boards and commissions vacancies:

  • *New* Emergency Services Grant Program (Trail & Trailhead Safety Improvements)

    • Note: Current and prior rural and mountain fire district members and residents are needed to apply!
  • Board of Health
  • Workforce Development Board
  • Cultural Council
  • Resource Conservation Advisory Board
  • Community Action Programs Administering Board
  • Fire Code Review Committee

Help improve trail and trailhead safety for hikers, equestrians, skiers, cyclists, and outdoor enthusiasts in Boulder County!

New this summer, Boulder County is recruiting for an inaugural 9-member Emergency Services Grant Program Advisory Committee. The committee will provide recommendations to Boulder County regarding the grant program portion of the Emergency Services Sales and Use Tax which was approved by voters in 2022 as "County Issue 1B" (with the first round of funding ~$3 million available this fall).

Individuals with an interest in or experience with trail safety, emergency services and rescue response activities are invited to apply for a seat on the new committee.

Meetings will be held virtually to accomodate schedules and distance between communities. The committee will be formed in early September and make recommendations on the first set of grants by the end of December 2023.
