Docket DC-25-0003: Proposed Amendments Related to Minor Corrections, Clarifying Changes, and Updates to Comply with State Law

Planning Commission Public Hearing on Proposed Land Use Code Amendments Scheduled for Dec. 17

Boulder County, Colo. – Boulder County Community Planning & Permitting staff are proposing changes to the Boulder County Land Use Code in Docket DC-25-0003. The proposed changes address grammatical and clerical mistakes, update formatting, correct outdated references or terminology, and clarify existing provisions in the Code based on past application and policy interpretations.

The proposed changes will be presented to the Planning Commission for review at a public hearing on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2025. The draft changes and a summary are available online at boco.org/dc-25-0003.

Information regarding the Planning Commission public hearing and how to participate will be published on the Planning Commission webpage a week before the Dec. 17 public hearing.

The proposed changes are for the unincorporated areas of Boulder County, not municipalities like Boulder or Longmont. Boulder County’s unincorporated areas comprise the rural, mountainous and plains communities that are not part of any incorporated municipality.
