Crime Victim Compensation Board Member Needed!
Crime Victim Compensation (CVC) of Boulder County is seeking a volunteer to fill an open Board member position. The CVC program disburses financial assistance to crime victims through a public fund that assists with crime-related, out-of-pocket expenses. Board members must reside in Boulder County and are appointed by the District Attorney to serve a three-year term with the possibility for reappointment.
The Board currently meets virtually on the third Monday of each month 2-4 pm, however, this can change based on Board member availability and needs. CVC staff sends crime summaries, requests for assistance, treatment plans and any other documents to the Board a week prior to each meeting. Board members should allow time (approximately 2-4 hours/month) to review the claims/documents at home so questions can be answered, discussions can be had, and decisions can be made at the monthly meeting.
