Upcoming Election Events

We have several upcoming events and tours during the 2024 General Election season.

Boulder County wants to ensure that everyone has equal access to our programs, activities, and services. Risk-Limiting Audit

The public is invited to observe the Boulder County Election Division’s 2024 General Election risk-limiting audit (RLA) process.

When: See below for detailed schedule.
Where: The RLA (except for the Secretary of State meeting on 11/18) will take place at the Boulder County Election Division office, 1750 33rd Street, Boulder. Check in at the Ballot Processing Center.
RSVP: Space is limited and you must RSVP by Monday, November 18 at 6:00 p.m. to Vote@BoulderCounty.gov to attend.

Detailed Schedule:

Monday, November 18 (online only)
10 a.m.
Secretary of State’s office provides high-level background on RLA and establishes random seed, which provides the basis for determining which random ballots to pull and audit. (about 15 min process). See Secretary of State notice for link.

Tuesday, November 19
12:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. or until complete
Audit board kick-off, ballot pull, and conduct risk-limiting audit (Round 1)

Wednesday, November 20
9 a.m. – until complete
Continuation of the audit, if needed

Thursday, November 21
9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Ballot pull and conduct the risk-limiting audit, Round 2 (if applicable)

Tuesday, November 26
2 – 3:15 p.m.

The public is invited to observe the Canvass Board meeting. During the meeting, staff presents data that provides evidence to certify the election. This includes voter registration changes during the election and election results including ballots received versus ballots counted, including mail ballots and in-person ballots. This data is also summarized in the Reconciliation Report.
