Cadet Program
The Sheriff’s Cadet Program is open to participants aged 14 to 21. This career orientation program provides invaluable experience in public safety and criminal justice, preparing the next generation of leaders.
Community Mediation
Community Mediation offers free mediation services to settle disputes for individuals living within Boulder County but outside the city limits of Boulder or Longmont. Mediation services provide a safe environment for people in conflict to come together to create their own agreements.
Reserve Program
The Reserve Program provides a ready resource of qualified, trained volunteers, both sworn and non-sworn, to the operations of the Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff’s Reserve Unit is composed of three sections: Operations Reserves, Jail Reserves, and the Sheriff’s Volunteers.
Restorative Justice
Restorative Justice is a volunteer driven program, led by a program coordinator, within the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office that offers restorative justice in the wake of crime. The aim is to provide a restorative process by which victims are heard and understood, offenders take responsibility for harm, and where loved ones and community members offer support.
Victim Assistance Program
The Victim Assistance Program is staffed by dedicated and trained volunteer victim advocates. Working in conjunction with Boulder County law enforcement agencies and the criminal justice system, victim advocates provide crisis response to victims of violent crime and trauma and survivors of sudden death through on-call and outreach programs.
