Historic Preservation Review Process (HP)

From miner’s cabins to turn of the century farming complexes, Boulder County values our historic resources. Only the owners of these resources can apply to have them designated as historic places/landmarks (see Historic Preservation Designation FAQs), and doing so can lead to these structures qualifying for the Historic Landmark Rehabilitation Grant Program. The Boulder County Historic Preservation Advisory Board makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners on which resources pass muster.

Submittal Schedule for Planning Applications

The Community Planning & Permitting Department manages the number of planning applications accepted each week in order to align with available resources. Once you have had a Pre-application Conference and have a complete application ready for review, please contact Community Planning & Permitting at 303-441-3930 to get on the schedule to submit your planning application.
