Virtual Public Hearing on State’s Proposed Changes to Recovery Action Plan

Public invited to attend online public hearing on Oct. 1 to learn about proposed changes to recovery action plan

Boulder County, Colo. - Following the devastating Marshall fire on Dec. 30, 2021, the State of Colorado received two congressional allocations from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in the total amount of $12.3 million of Community Development Block Grant for Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) to address recovery needs in the areas of housing, infrastructure, economic development, and resilience in response to presidentially-declared disaster DR-4634-CO.

The State of Colorado developed the Colorado CDBG-DR Public Action Plan, approved by HUD in November 2022, to outline how funds will be allocated. In May 2025 the State developed Substantial Amendment #2 to address the remaining unmet needs in Boulder County, Colorado.

The State is once again proposing a new amendment to the plan, which was released for public comment on Sept. 10, 2025. The draft Action Plan is posted on the DOLA website and will remain open for comment through Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025.
