Unattended death at South Sourdough Trailhead

Boulder County, Colo. - The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office responded yesterday afternoon, August 17, to a report of a possible deceased person located in a vehicle in the 400 block of County Road 116, at the South Sourdough Trailhead parking lot.

Upon arrival, first responders confirmed that there was a deceased female in the vehicle. The vehicle was associated with a female reported missing out of Longmont on August 11 by family members.

The Boulder County Coroner’s Office will confirm the identification of the decedent, as well as determine the cause and manner of death. Currently, we do not believe the death is suspicious.

The responding agencies included the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office and the Boulder County Coroner’s Office.
