16 year old female rescued after becoming ill
Boulder County, Colo. - At approximately 02:15 am on August 22, 2019, Boulder County Deputies, Boulder County Emergency Services, Rocky Mountain Rescue, Nederland Fire Department and American Medical Response responded to the Fourth of July Trailhead on a report of a 16 year old female suffering from an unknown medical condition and could not make it back to the trailhead.
Rescuers located the female after a ten minute hike up the trail and assisted her to the trailhead parking area where she was tended to by AMR and subsequently transported to an area hospital. Her condition is unknown but did not appear to be life threatening.
