Hiker injured on Gregory Canyon Trail

Boulder County, Colo. - On Monday, August 12, 2019 at approximately 3:08 p.m., the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office was notified of an 82 year old female hiker who had fallen on the Gregory Canyon Trail just west of the City of Boulder in Boulder, County.

The incident was reported via 911 to the Boulder County Communications Center from a hiker who was descending the trail and came upon the female and her companion.

Members of the Rocky Mountain Rescue Group hiked approximately ten minutes up the Gregory Canyon Trail and met the female hiker and her companion. The rescuers assessed the female and the decision was made to continue to walk out to the trailhead. The injured female decided not to be transported to the hospital. All rescuers cleared the scene by approximately 4:30 p.m.

Agencies assisting with this rescue effort included: American Medical Response (AMR), Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks, and the Rocky Mountain Rescue Group.
