RTD bus driver flags down a deputy after a distubance

No one was injured in an altercation that occured on an RTD bus and the 43-year-old Denver man was booked in the Boulder County Jail.

Boulder County, Colo. - On October 21, 2019, around 7:55 p.m, a deputy was on a traffic stop in the area of east bound U.S. Highway 36 and McCaslin Boulvard when she was flagged down by an RTD bus driver regarding a disturbance on board a Denver-bound RTD bus.

Colorado State Patrol and additional Boulder County Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene to investigate the incident. During interviews with the parties involved, deputies learned that Jason Williams, 43, had become upset with several other passengers and proceeded to make verbal threats and brandished a knife. No injuries occured during the incident.

Williams was placed into custody without further incident and transported to the Boulder County Jail were he was booked for endanging public transportation, felony menacing, and harassment.

As a result of the on-going investigation, Williams' booking photograph is not availble for release.
