Residential structure fire in the 7,000 block of Park Circle

One resident sustained minor injuries

Boulder County, Colo. - Today at 8:22 a.m., the Boulder County Communications Center received a 911 call about a residential structure fire in the 7,000 block of Park Circle in the Gunbarrel neighborhood of unincorporated Boulder County.

Upon arrival, emergency crews found a fully involved structure fire. The home sustained a substantial amount of damage. One adult occupant of the house received minor injuries.

The initial investigation and information provided by witnesses indicate that the fire may have been caused by a child playing with matches, however, the cause and origin of the fire will be further investigated by the Multi-Agency Fire Investigation Team (MAFIT).

The following agencies assisted with this incident: Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, American Medical Response (AMR), Boulder Fire Rescue, Boulder Rural Fire Protection District, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, Mountain View Fire Department, Lafayette Fire Department and Rocky Mountain Fire Authority.
