Rescue on Mt. Sanitas Summit

Boulder County, Colo. -

On Friday 10-18-2019 at approximately 2:42 p.m. members of Boulder Mountain Fire Protection District, City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks Rangers, American Medical Response Ambulance (AMR), and Rocky Mountain Rescue Group responded with the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office to assist with a runner who was injured near the summit of Mt. Sanitas on the Mt. Sanitas trail.

Medical personnel from the Boulder Mountain Fire Protection District along with AMR paramedics provided medical care to the injured runner.

Rocky Mountain Rescue Group did a litter evacuation from the injured parties location on the trail back to command post. From the command post friends were able to drive the injured party to an area hospital. The rescue took about 1hour and 15 minutes to complete.
