Public Engagement Schedule Extended for Integrated Weed Management Plan
Public hearings extended through April.
Boulder County, Colo. - The public engagement schedule has been extended for the Integrated Weed Management Plan.Parks & Open Space has received nearly 1,100 survey responses and 555 open-ended comments. Staff has decided to extend the public engagement period and use the time to review and incorporate requests from the public.
Upcoming opportunities for information and public input now include:
- Tuesday, Dec. 5 Parks & Open Space Advisory Committee Plan Update
- Thursday, Jan. 25 Parks & Open Space Advisory Committee Plan Update
- Thursday, Feb. 22 Parks & Open Space Advisory Committee Recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners
- March (date TBD) Board of County Commissioners Public Hearing: Public comments accepted.
- April (date TBD) Board of County Commissioners Public Meeting: Deliberation and decision, no additional public comment will be accepted.
Background
Boulder County is updating its current weed management plans and policies. Currently, the county is operating with two plans: the Boulder County Noxious Weed Management Plan and the Boulder County Parks & Open Space Weed Management Policies and Procedures. These two documents will be combined into one document titled “Boulder County Integrated Weed Management Plan.”
