Overdue hiker rescued after sustaining injuries from fall on rock pile

Boulder County, Colo. - On May 25, 2020, Boulder County Sheriff's Office received a call regarding an overdue hiker in the 6000 block of Olde Stage Road. The hiker was approximately 4 hours overdue from the time she was supposed to return home.

Personnel from Rocky Mountain Rescue group, Left Hand Fire Department, Boulder Emergency Services, and the Boulder County Sheriff's Office responded to coordinate efforts to locate the missing woman.

Rescue crews were able to locate the woman after hearing her cries for help. She had fallen from a rock pile and had sustained minor injuries as a result of the fall and exposure to the elements. She was transported to a local hospital where she was treated.
