Outbuilding caught on fire in the 13,000 block of N. 115th St. in unincorporated Boulder County

Boulder County, Colo. - The Boulder County Communications Center received a call shortly before 3:00 p.m. this afternoon about smoke in the 13,000 block of N. 115th St. in unincorporated Boulder County.

Upon arrival, first responders found a fire in the backyard of a residence, which spread and caught a fence on fire as well as a shed. Once the fire was extinguished, three goats were found deceased inside the shed and one additional goat was injured.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office. It is unknown at this time if any charges will be pending regarding the start of the fire or the death of the animals.

Agencies responding to the fire included the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office and Mountain View Fire Rescue.
