Transportation Tips Preparing for Winter
1) Help Keep Sidewalks Snow Free
Remember to clean your sidewalks and help us keep pedestrians safe, and streets accessible, and free from snow and ice!
2) Plan Your Commute
This winter season, buses may fall behind schedule consider using a trip planner app such as Google Maps, Transit App, or the RTD MyRide App to find your most convenient route in real time.
3) Pack Winter Essentials Before Commuting
Make sure to stay warm and safe by always bringing winter essentials such as gloves, a hat, scarf, waterproof layers or umbrella, water and snacks in case of any delays.
4) Bike Safe and Smart
Ride a bike you already know, always use bike lights and reflective clothing, check and adjust your tire pressure, and wear cycling headwear, bike gloves, bike footwear, and hand and foot warmers to stay safe and warm.
5) Consider Ride-Hailing as an Option
If you want to go somewhere on a snowy day but don't feel comfortable driving or riding the bus, consider using apps such as Uber, Lyft,or zTrip as back up options.

Join the Movement of Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day!
On November 14th, we observe Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day. This day honors Ruby Bridges, a civil rights hero who bravely walked to school in 1960, becoming one of the first Black students to attend an all-white school in New Orleans.

CO 7 Corridor Segment A Project
The CO 7 (Arapahoe Avenue) Corridor Segment A project is tackling transportation challenges in a critical commuter and business route between 28th Street and 63rd Street.
This fall CDOT is excited to share the progress they have made on the project and wants your feedback. Take some time to watch their online public meeting presentation video and respond the community questionnaire.

On Nov 14th join Boulder County’s Mobility for All team and the Longmont Public Library for an in-person event to observe Ruby Bridges Day, a historic safe routes to school civil rights event that now signifies goals of anti-racism and anti-bullying. Snacks, water, and creative activities will be provided. Please wear comfortable attire to walk or roll in.
