Injured teen rescued after mountain bike accident

Boulder County, Colo. - On Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at approximately 2:18 p.m., the Boulder County Communications Center was notified of an injured mountain bike rider approximately two miles west of Nederland.

A fifteen-year-old male from Boulder, CO sustained serious injuries from a mountain bike accident. Nederland Fire Department provided initial medical care. Rocky Mountain Rescue Group provided a wheeled litter evacuation to an open meadow. Flight For Life transported the male to an area hospital. The rescue lasted approximately three hours.

Agencies assisting with this rescue included: Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, American Medical Response (AMR), Flight For Life Colorado, Nederland Fire Protection District, and Rocky Mountain Rescue Group.
