Injured rock climber at Eldorado Canyon State Park

Climber Fell Approximately 40 Feet

Boulder County, Colo. -

On Sunday, September 27, 2020 at approximately 11:55 a.m., the Boulder County Communications Center was notified of an injured rock climber at the Eldorado Canyon State Park.

A twenty-four year-old male from Louisville, CO fell approximately forty feet and sustained non-life threatening injuries. Rocky Mountain Rescue Group provided a technical litter evacuation to an awaiting ambulance. Rocky Mountain Fire Authority provided medical care and ambulance transport to an area hospital. The rescue lasted approximately two hours.

Agencies assisting with this rescue included: Rocky Mountain Fire Authority, Rocky Mountain Rescue Group, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, and the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.
