Hiker rescued from the Mallory Cave Trail

Female hiker rescued from the Mallory Cave Trail

Boulder County, Colo. - On March 26th at approximately 10:45 a.m., deputies and emergency personnel were called out to the Mallory Cave Trail for a 25 year old female who was having a medical issue approximately one half mile up the trail from the trailhead. Personnel from the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, Rocky Mountain Rescue Group, City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Park Rangers, City of Boulder Fire Rescue and American Medical Response responded to the location to give aid.

Rescue personnel contacted the female and her friend. The female was placed on a wheeled litter, transported to an awaiting ambulance and taken to a local hospital. The rescue itself took approximately one hour.
