Fallen Climber at Gregory Canyon

Early 20's male falls 20-30 feet

Boulder County, Colo - On Wednesday, March 6, 2019, about 1:48 pm, the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, along with personnel from the Rocky Mountain Rescue Group, City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks, and the City of Boulder Fire, were dispatched to a report of a fallen climber on the Amphitheater Trail at Gregory Canyon.

Search and rescue personnel began searching the area along the trail and located the injured person. The injured person was described at a male in his early twenties. He was bouldering in the area when he slipped and fell approximately 20-30 feet. He suffered an injury to his back and was carried out by rescue personnel. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

This incident is documented under Boulder County Sheriff's Office case report number 19-1262.
