Boulder County, Colo. – Each year, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) hold the Pinnacle Awards as a way to recognize the collaborative, innovative, and successful projects that have been implemented across all county departments and offices over the last year. In a ceremony on April 10, the BOCC announced the winners of the 2019 Pinnacle Awards.

Work teams are encouraged to submit innovative projects for considerations, and the commissioners narrow down all submissions to a set of finalist projects. This year there were 12 finalist projects chosen to be highlighted, and eight awards given out. The eight winners were chosen for eight categories – Inclusion, Stewardship, Service, Engagement, Sustainability, Innovation, Resilience, and Commissioners’ Choice.

Each finalist project had the opportunity to make a roughly two-minute film explaining their project and those videos were shown during the ceremony. All videos are available for viewing on YouTube. Following the film screening, the BOCC announced their chosen winners. Winning project teams receive a framed photo with a plaque commemorating their win.

• LGBTQ historic Courthouse Designation – Commissioners’ Choice
