The initial report was made by a party not on scene at the time of the incident. Once first responders arrived it took rescuers about 20 minutes to locate the fallen climber. The death investigation is being conducted by the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office and the Boulder County Coroner’s Office. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending the notification of the next of kin.
