Boulder County Substance Use Advisory Group Offers Free Narcan at Boulder Creek Festival

Residents are invited to learn about local resources and services around overdose prevention and education

Boulder County, Colo.- Boulder County’s Substance Use Advisory Group (SUAG) will be hosting a table at the upcoming Boulder Creek Festival this Memorial Day weekend from May 27-29, 2023 (Saturday to Monday), from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. The event will take place in the Boulder Public Library on Arapahoe Avenue parking lot. SUAG team members will share local resources and services in the county around overdose prevention. Peer support specialists will be on hand to offer support for community members.

WHEN: Saturday, May 27 to Monday, May 29, 2023, from 11 a.m.-7p.m.

Free Narcan will be available, and staff will also be offering overdose prevention and education, including naloxone administration training. The Substance Use Advisory Group seeks to raise awareness and connect individuals to resources around addiction and recovery.

SUAG’s participation in this event is part of the Boulder Creek Festival, an annual Boulder event sponsored by various organizations.
