Sunday, June 9, at the Walker Ranch Homestead
Boulder County, Colo. - Boulder County Parks & Open Space will host the Summer Heritage Day: World's Fair on Sunday, June 9, at the Walker Ranch Homestead west of Boulder.
Long ago, new inventions, technology, and products were introduced to the public at the World’s Fair. Visitors can explore various stations around the homestead that highlight products and food of the late 1800s.
As part of the event, costumed volunteers demonstrate doing laundry the old-fashioned way, woodworking, meal preparation, and blacksmithing. Visitors can even participate in a few of the activities.
