Boulder County and City of Boulder Launch New Round of Community Events for the Boulder Valley Comprehensive Plan Update
Community members are invited to participate in a series of interactive events this summer as part of the next stage of the Boulder Valley Comprehensive Plan update, called A Boulder Direction
Boulder County, Colo. - Boulder County and the City of Boulder invite community members to participate in a series of interactive events this summer as part of the next stage of the Boulder Valley Comprehensive Plan update, called A Boulder Direction.
This stage of the process builds on the ideas, priorities and goals already shared by community members over the past year — including housing affordability, transportation options, climate resilience, stronger food systems and more. In our previous stage, A Boulder Tomorrow, we asked the community to think about the future and identify key areas that the plan update should address. This sparked big ideas, refined priorities and contributed to a proposed vision for the community.
Now, the city and county are working with partners and community members to explore strategies that could help bring these priorities to life.
The Boulder Valley Comprehensive Plan is a foundational, long-term planning document that guides decisions about change, development, sustainability and services in Boulder and the surrounding area. In this phase, local government planners are sharing a range of concepts that could guide our next steps, and they need community input to refine and improve them.
To ensure this next stage of engagement is accessible, flexible and impactful, the city and county are partnering with YOUnify, a nonprofit that specializes in inclusive, community-led engagement, to host events designed for all community members. Visit younify.org to learn more about our partner.
