Body located in the 9000 block of Ute Highway

A deceased male was found lying next to the road

Boulder County, Colo. - At approximately 11:45 a.m. this morning, emergency personnel from the Hygiene Fire Department along with deputies and investigators from the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office and the Boulder County Coroner’s Office responded to the 9,000 block of Ute Highway after a motorist observed what they believed to be a deceased person lying next to the road.

Emergency personnel subsequently located a deceased male wearing multiple layers of clothing and a blanket in the snowbank on the side of the highway. Investigators estimated the male to be approximately 40-60 years of age and to possibly be of Hispanic or Native American descent.

During the initial investigation no signs of trauma were noted on the body. The investigation into his death is on-going and the official cause and manner of death, along with the man's identity, will be determined by the Boulder County Coroner’s Office.
