Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) Card

A Quest EBT card works like a debit card and can be used for purchasing groceries and withdrawing cash from ATM’s with your provided pin number. Most grocery stores display the Quest EBT card logo in their window.

How do I use my EBT card?

You will receive a Quest Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) Card when you are approved for benefits.

To access your balance online go to EBT Edge to setup an account. Benefits are deposited into your EBT account on the same day each month depending on the last digit of your Social Security number.

If Social Security Number ends in:Food Benefits Credited to your Quest Card:
11st day of each month
22nd day of each month
33rd day of each month
44th day of each month
55th day of each month
66th day of each month
77th day of each month
88th day of each month
99th day of each month
010th day of each month
If your Social Security Number ends in:Cash Benefits will be Credited to your Quest Card:
8 or 9 or 01st day of each month
4 or 5 or 6 or 72nd day of each month
1 or 2 or 33rd day of each month

Foods and Products Not Elegible for Purchase with the Quest EBT Card

  • No hot foods from deli/foods to be eaten in store
  • No vitamins or medication
  • No pet food
  • No paper or cleaning products
  • No alcohol/tobacco products. See more information.

What is EBT and how can I check my balance?

EBT is a debit card where you can access your benefits

  • Call 888.EBTCOLO (888.328.2656)
  • Go to www.ebtedge.com.
  • Check your receipt, your balance is printed on it
  • Come in to your county office, we can help.
  • You can change your pin online or over the phone.

How do I withdraw my benefits from an ATM?

When withdrawing benefits from an ATM, please withdraw benefits from “Checking” using your PIN. Remember, never tell anyone your PIN because stolen benefits will not be replaced.

How many times can I try my PIN before it will be “locked”?

Your PIN will be locked after four incorrect attempts.

If I lose my card what do I do?

If you lose your EBT Edge Card please go to any EBT office with proper Identification. We have three locations to serve clients. In Boulder, the office is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00-4:30pm and located at 3460 N Broadway St Boulder CO 80304. The Longmont location is open Monday to Friday, from 8:00-4:30 PM, located at 515 Coffman Street Longmont CO 80501, and the Lafayette office is open Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:00-4:30 PM (closed 1-2 for lunch), located at 1755 S. Public Road, Lafayette, CO 80026 . If you have further questions about this process, please call Boulder County Housing and Human Services at 303-441-1000.
