The BORC Hearing on Feb. 5 has been canceled. A public hearing will be held before the Boulder County Board of Review to review the Wildfire Resilience & Ignition Resistant Materials, Construction, and Defensible Space updates to the Boulder County Building Code. It is anticipated that the committee will be making a recommendation regarding these updates to the Board of Boulder County Commissioners regarding their adoption. This update is needed to meet the requirements of the 2025 Colorado Wildfire Resiliency Code as approved by the Colorado Wildfire Resiliency Code Board. By statutory authority, the Boulder County Board of Review hears and decides technical appeals to the interpretation of the Boulder County Building Code Amendments, which apply in the unincorporated areas of Boulder County, not in incorporated cities or towns. The Board of Review looks at proposed building code amendments and makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners’ prior to adoption. |
