Upper Fourmile Creek

Upper Fourmile Creek Restoration & Recovery

Boulder County has developed a stream restoration design for Upper Fourmile Creek (Wallstreet). Funding for the designs was provided by a Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Relief (CDBG-DR) planning grant through the Colorado Watershed Resilience Planning Grant Program to complete the stream restoration 30% design.

Final Design:

A portion of Upper Fourmile Creek been identified for funding through the Natural Resource Conservation Service’s Emergency Watershed Protection (EWP) program. The EWP program provides financial assistance for implementation of approved creek restoration plans. The Fourmile Watershed Coalition intends to sponsor the Wallstreet EWP project.

In addition, the Boulder County Commissioners have approved funding to implement certain portions of Upper Fourmile Creek that were not funded by other programs (see map for information). As funding allows, Boulder County will implement stream restoration of Fourmile Creek upstream of Wallstreet as part of the Fourmile Canyon Drive road construction project. Construction is underway.

A community meeting was held on Tuesday, March 15, 2016. The meeting presentation and notes are available below:
