Veterans Services

Veterans’ Services

Veterans have made many sacrifices serving our country and are an imperative part of Colorado’s workforce. The Colorado Workforce System is proud to honor Colorado Veterans with Priority of Service.

All veterans and eligible spouses receive priority of service for any workforce development services funded in whole or in part by the Department of Labor. Participants must meet eligibility requirements for program participation depending on the workforce program.

Boulder County assists veterans, transitioning service members, and spouses with the resources and services to meet labor-market demands through employment and training opportunities. We ensure early priority on all job listings, job fair and events, and other services for veterans.

Public Law 107-288, section 2(a) of the Act 38 U.S.C 4215 (a) Creates a priority of service for veterans (and some spouses) “who otherwise meet the eligibility requirements for participation” in Department of Labor (DOL) training programs.

Veterans’ Employment Services
Workforce Boulder County provides priority of service to all veterans in all employment and training programs.

Veterans’ Service Office
(Also known as: VA, Veterans Administration, Veteran’s Affairs) Serves all veterans and their dependents. We will assist any veteran or dependent in the proper completion of applications for Veteran’s benefits, assist in the development and securing of all evidence and documents necessary for the adjudication of claims.

The Disabled Veterans Outreach Program is supported by the United States Department of Labor. A total of 100% percent of the Disabled Veterans Outreach Program is financed with federal funds through the Jobs for Veterans State Grant (JVSG).
