Fourmile Canyon Flood Recovery Project Update – Signals installed at Salina Junction starting Monday

Starting Monday morning, Nov. 18, Lawrence Construction will begin installing a 3-way signal at Salina Junction (where Fourmile Canyon Drive meets Gold Run Road) to help control traffic. The signal is necessary because Fourmile Canyon Drive will be reduced to one lane below the junction, 24/7, to accommodate the retaining wall build-out. This work is expected to last until the end of December.

Crews will continue installing culverts under the road over the coming weeks in the north section, so expect to see flaggers during the day. These work zones are short, so delays should not be long. Structural work continues at the two wall sites above Logan Mill Road, and stone is being applied to the wall uphill from there. The signalized zone above Logan Mill will likely be shortened on Wednesday, which means shorter wait times at this traffic light.

Lawrence's current plan is to complete what they can by the end of December and return the road to two lanes before shutting down for the winter. They'll return in April or May to complete the remaining work. The schedule for shut down and restart is still being ironed out, so I'll share it when details are finalized.

Have a good weekend.
