Suspect injured in altercation with resident

Boulder County, Colo. - This morning, shortly after 3:00 a.m., two residents in the 1900 block of East Coalton, Superior, discovered a male suspect breaking into a vehicle in their garage.

One of the residents confronted the suspect and a fight ensued, causing injury to the suspect. The residents were able to detain the suspect until deputies with the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office arrived. A second suspect fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.

The first suspect, was identified as Justin Huckleby Kraay, date of birth 12/20/85. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment before being transported and booked into the Boulder County Jail. He was charged with second degree burglary, vehicle trespass and theft.
