Suicide investigation at 7250 Flagstaff in Boulder County, CO

Suicide occurred at the Myers Gulch Trail Head

Boulder County, Colo.

On April 2nd, 2019, at about 7:30 p.m., members with the Boulder County Sheriff's Office, Boulder County Open Space Rangers, Boulder County Coroner's Office, and the Rocky Mountain Fire Protection District were dispatched to the Meyers Gulch Trail Head, located at 7250 Flagstaff Road, on the report of a welfare check.

Responding deputies were able to locate the subject of the welfare check, a white male, at the Meyers Gulch Trail Head parking lot. Shortly after initial contact, the victim committed suicide in front of a deputy and an open space ranger. The victim was pronounced deceased as the result of an apparent self-inflicted gun shot wound to the head.

Boulder County Sheriff's Office detectives and investigators with the Boulder County Coroner's Office responded to the scene. The investigation is on-going and the identity of the victim is being with held; pending positive identification and notification of next of kin.
