Feb. 19 Board of Review Hearing on Wildfire Resiliency Updates to the Building Code

Attend the public hearing virtually or in-person starting at 2:30 p.m.

Boulder County, Colo. - The Boulder County Board of Review will hold a Public Hearing on proposed wildfire updates to the Boulder County Building Code Amendments on Thursday, Feb. 19 starting at 2:30 p.m.

At this hearing for Docket BORC-26-0001, staff will present proposed updates related to wildfire resilience, including provisions addressing ignition-resistant materials, construction methods, and defensible space. These updates are intended to align the Boulder County Building Code with the requirements of the state mandated 2025 Colorado Wildfire Resiliency Code. The Board of Review is anticipated to make a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners following this hearing.

The Boulder County Building Code Amendments apply in the unincorporated areas of Boulder County, not in incorporated cities or towns.
