Service supplements RTD’s NB bus route to provide an additional travel option between Nederland and Boulder

Boulder County, Colo. - To provide additional travel options between Nederland and Boulder, the Boulder County Community Planning & Permitting Dept. has contracted with Via Mobility Services to operate one additional round-trip in the afternoon on weekdays starting Tuesday, January 21 and operating through Friday, May 23, 2025.

The Boulder Canyon Extra bus service is free to ride, supplements RTD’s NB bus route, and runs Monday through Friday with the daily schedule shown below (excluding holidays).

This temporary extra bus service fills the current NB route time gaps and improves connections to schools and other important destinations in Nederland and Boulder.

The Boulder Canyon Extra helps meet the needs of the community as resources become available to RTD to add service to the NB schedule in 2025. Boulder County, Town of Nederland, and RTD will continue to coordinate efforts to provide more convenient transportation options for the community.
