Boulder County, Colo. - The final phase of the US 287 Vision Zero Safety & Mobility Study is underway, and community members are invited complete a short survey to review recommendations and help identify possible next steps along the US 287 corridor. The community survey will be available to all members of the public through Dec, 3, 2023.

The study includes recommendations developed to improve safety and mobility along the US 287 corridor. These recommendations build on previous rounds of public input and collaboration with local jurisdictions.

In February and March, a self-paced, virtual open house presented basic information about the Study, described the results of its safety and mobility analyses, and collected public input on eliminating serious injury and fatal crashes along US 287. A second open house in August and September introduced and gathered feedback on recommendations, including a proposed walk and bike path and proposed center median barrier.

Public input collected through the current survey may be used to guide subsequent studies and projects along US 287 as Boulder County and other local communities continue to improve safety and mobility conditions. Boulder County's partners in this Study include the City and County of Broomfield, the City of Lafayette, the Town of Erie, the City of Longmont, RTD, CDOT, DRCOG, and Commuting Solutions—as well as community groups dedicated to a safer US 287.
