Hiker evacuated from Anne U White Trail

Boulder County, Colo. - On Monday, October 12, 2020, at approximately 9:59 a.m., the Boulder County Sheriff’s Communications Center received a call reference a male who had fallen and injured his back while hiking on the Anne U. White Trail. The 71-year-old male, from Boulder, was hiking with family members when he fell.

Medical personnel stabilized the injured hiker. Rescuers then evacuated the injured hiker in a wheeled litter to an AMR ambulance who transported him to a local medical facility.

The rescue took approximately two hours.

Agencies assisting with this rescue included: Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, Boulder Mountain Fire Protection District, Rocky Mountain Rescue Group, Boulder County Parks and Open Space, and American Medical Response Ambulance.
