A Resolution to Limit the Discharge of Firearms in the Sugarloaf Area, closing areas surrounding the Sugarloaf, Swiss Peaks and Crisman communities (the “Sugarloaf Firearm Discharge Prohibition Area”) to the discharge of firearms for all purposes, including recreational shooting and hunting.
Verified CHP Firearms Instructor Program
Effective July 1, 2025, all applicants for an initial or renewed Colorado Concealed Handgun Permit must submit with their applications a training certificate showing that they successfully completed either a Concealed Handgun Training Class or a Refresher Class taught by a Verified Instructor.
